Here’s another one of my recent Midnight Performances.  I’ve always considered this one of those good wakeup songs.  It’s just me and my Gretsch Americana series Showdown guitar performing my Daydream Believer (Monkees) cover.  However, this time I decided to do a little something different and gave it a background that I felt would enhance the song.

Besides being one of those good wakeup songs, you could also file it among fun songs telling someone you love them.  Either way, it’s one of the beloved retro guitar strumming songs from the 60’s, even among non-Monkees fans.  To wit, when I shared this among my guitar group, one of the guys commented: “I’m not a Monkees fan and even I enjoyed it”.  I hope you do as well.  Would you do me the favor of a thumbs-up if you like my rendition of Daydream Believer (and maybe even a comment if you’re so inclined)?
